Nepal and Bangladesh are home to many popular tourist destinations with their natural beauty, rich civilizations and cultural heritages, adventure sports, and biodiversity. As neighboring countries, there is a huge scope for expanding people-to-people contacts.
Nepal and Bangladesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism Cooperation during the State Visit of the Rt. Hon. President of Nepal Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari to Bangladesh on 22-23 March 2021. The MoU aims to further strengthen tourism cooperation and promote people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
Bangladesh remains an important source country of tourists for Nepal. The number of Bangladeshi tourists visiting Nepal has increased significantly in recent years. A total of 57,545 Bangladeshi tourists visited Nepal in 2025.
