CULTURAL COOPERATION

Given the close cultural linkages and people-to-people contacts between the two countries, Nepal and Bangladesh have been actively working to promote cultural cooperation which is evident in the signing of the Cultural Agreement in January 1978.

To further strengthen this bond, Nepal and Bangladesh signed a Cultural Exchange Programme for 2022-2025 during the State Visit of President Bidya Devi Bhandari to Bangladesh on 22-23 March 2021. The major objective of the MoU is to promote cultural cooperation and people-to-people contact through various forms of cultural exchanges.

In addition, the Bangladesh-Nepal Friendship Society, established in Dhaka in January 2016, has been closely working with the Embassy to promote cultural exchanges and foster people-to-people relations.
