Bangladesh provides 22 scholarships annually to Nepali students in government medical and dental colleges under the Technical Cooperation Agreement signed between the two countries in April 1976.
Nepal also offers one scholarship seat each year to SAARC member states, including Bangladesh, under the SAARC Chair Fellowship, and Scholarship Scheme. At present, there are around 3,000 Nepali students pursuing higher studies in Bangladesh, particularly in the medical, dental, and engineering fields.
