Nepal and Bangladesh are home to many popular tourist destinations with their natural beauty, rich civilizations and cultural heritages, adventure sports, and biodiversity. As neighboring countries, there is a huge scope for expanding people-to-people contacts.
Nepal and Bangladesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism Cooperation during the State Visit of the Rt. Hon. President of Nepal Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari to Bangladesh on 22-23 March 2021. The MoU aims at further strengthening cooperation between the two countries for promotion of tourism.
Bangladesh remains an important source country of tourists for Nepal. Over 36,300 Bangladeshi tourists visited Nepal in 2023.
